Direct Sales and Customer Service staff on technical issues related to new business development efforts including servicing of all Bowne MBC Milwaukee clients along with select national clients. My unique skills position me to be an integral and vital part of the development and the analysis of Bowne’s new business opportunities. The continued success of our business relies upon our ability to provide good service and realistic pricing to our customers. My part in this is to ensure that Bowne earns a fair margin and that our clients receive competitive pricing. This responsibility is one of my primary foci along with ensuring that Bowne provides an environment where client-requested changes receive rapid implementation.  I also help with integrating new business into the regular production workflow.

Additionally, I serve as a member of the Milwaukee Management Team responsible for monitoring facility efficiency and implementing required changes.  My specific areas of influence include:

Project Management                      Develop and maintain vendor relationships

Sourcing components and              Sales calls as requested

Resources                                  Prepare New Business Forms (NBF)

Configuring                                   Various conference calls

Project scoping                             Weekly Flash Report of activities

The pricing of services                   Special Project conference calls

RFP responses                              Profitability review and maintenance

Proposal preparation                     Presentation development / participation

Purchasing and outsourcing            Provide technical support on legacy systems

Manage Client Services & office admin staff

During my business career I have held positions with US and European companies in office management, sales administration, computer operations, computer programming, inventory management, and customer service.  I have also created and presented workshops to audiences in England and the United States on subjects ranging from barcodes, creative font use, direct mail that makes an impact, designing mailpieces to maximize postal discounts, and mentoring people to promote continuing professional education.  As recently as February of 2007 I coordinated and chaired two full days of workshops at the Xplor/GOA conference in Miami, Florida.  These workshops looked at the print room of today and explored possible future developments in hardware, software and workflow.  I am currently working on creating an expanded 2-day class to be offered at Print on Demand in Boston in 2008, and a full day meeting to be held in Milwaukee on Green DP innovations for March of 2008.
