STAMFORD, Conn., April 11, 2012 - Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI) today announced the appointment of Joe Timko to the position of executive vice president and chief technology and strategy officer. Timko, who joined the company in 2010 as chief strategy and innovation officer, will now also oversee worldwide engineering, which is led by Sue McKinney, vice president of worldwide engineering.
The company also announced that McKinney has been elected an officer of Pitney Bowes. She joined the company in 2010 from IBM, where she held positions of increasing responsibility in software development management and e-business initiatives. While at IBM, she lead a worldwide team of more than 1,500 software engineers in seven countries, executing complex development programs for software products that serve millions of users of IBM products.

Timko was a partner at the global consultancy McKinsey & Company before joining Pitney Bowes. In his 13 years at McKinsey, he led successful consulting engagements for Fortune 500 companies in industries such as communications equipment and services, IT software and services, industrial controls, and chemicals. Earlier in his career, he worked in technology and leadership roles at AT&T Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies.
