Customers, employees and future leaders benefit from educational opportunities supported by GMC Software
GMC Software, the award-winning leader in Customer Communications Management (CCM), announced today its ongoing commitment to support the education of today’s customer communications and customer experience (CX) practitioners and leaders, and that of future generations, through various educational sponsorships. GMC Software’s commitment reaches beyond its employee base to enterprise customers, CCM and CX professionals, and college students preparing to join the industry.
GMC Software presented two scholarships to current CCM professionals for the first university-level CX certification program, held at Rutgers University and offered in connection with the Rutgers Center for Innovation Education. The winners, which were chosen based on an essay contest, were Chris Heppner, director of marketing communications at Road Scholar and Michael Angelo, a business process consultant at a large U.S.-based insurance company. Each received a scholarship to attend a 4-day certificate program where they learned new techniques to drive innovative and valuable customer experiences.
GMC Software is also sponsoring the first collegiate communication design competition offered by Xplor, the worldwide electronic document systems association. The scholarship provides the winning students with full-conference passes to the Xploration 17 conference in March to advance their practical experience within the industry and to expose them to the latest customer communications trends, best practices and solutions.
To further support the education of the next generation of professionals in the document management and graphic communications industry, GMC Software is a long-time sponsor of the Electronic Document Systems Foundation’s (EDSF) scholarship program.
GMC’s commitment to improving the skills and marketability of its own team came to fruition when it won the Xplor President’s Award in 2016 for putting 21 employees through EDP (Electronic Document Professional) certification, in addition to 103 GMC employees receiving the EDA (Electronic Document Associate) designation the year before. GMC continues this commitment to its employees and the industry in 2017.

The course featured some extraordinary speakers and I came away with a million ideas to put into practice.”
